Energizing the new website of Powerplay
Powerplay is a Bengaluru based company that helps you simplify end to end construction and architecture project management, and simplifies site-to-office communication.

Powerplay’s aim is to simplify construction site communication and collaboration, so that construction teams can focus on what really matters. They provide a customizable project dashboard that can be used to track inventory levels on site, give you highlights and issues, give automatic calculations for material and labour requirements, etc. It can be used by CXOs and owners, project managers, site engineers and supervisors.
Our product team was researching the competition for Powerplay’s website redesign. We looked at the business, understood the industry dynamics and then started scribbling ideas on our (digital) notepads. This took time as Powerplay is not really a conventional business to begin with, and the complexity of the earlier website had to be handled smoothly as well.
For the website, after thorough market research and business analysis, we prepared the information architecture. Once this was approved, we started putting up rough wireframes followed by sharing the initial design. We then also presented the full fledged web design to them. Following this, we then began coding the website and made it mobile friendly as well.
The existing website of Powerplay didn’t really complement their industry, their business or their brand guidelines either.
The old website was outdated and carried a templatised look. It didn’t have appropriate navigation and the content was also missing in a lot of parts. The website was also not mobile responsive.
Hence, with the Powerplay team’s inputs, we decided to give an overhaul to the brand, and began work on revamping their website.
The website was a breakthrough experience from their previous one. Each and every page had content placed meaningfully and the design seemed to match their expectations. They were also happy with the subtle animations placed thoughtfully in the website. The Powerplay team really appreciated every aspect of the website.
